# IBM API Connect: server-side request forgery reaches internal network resources

Link for people: https://infrastack.ai/live/CVE-2026-16918 (this .md is for agents)

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 contains a server-side request forgery flaw. A remote attacker can make the server send requests into the internal network and reach resources that should be private.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:api-connect affected >= 10.0.8.0, <= 10.0.8.12; >= 12.1.0.0, <= 12.1.1.2 fixed 10.0.8.13, 12.1.1.3

## How to check

Check your API Connect version. Affected: 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2. Fixed: 10.0.8.13 and 12.1.1.3. IBM's CVSS vector marks it as needing no authentication and no user interaction.

## Fix

Upgrade to 10.0.8.13 (10.0.8.x line) or v12.1.1.3 (12.1.x line); IBM Fix Central. IBM's 12.1.1.3 link: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7290205

## Timeline

- 2026-11-07T05:45:57+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-16918
- 2026-11-07T06:01:21+00:00 analyst https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7295637 — IBM bulletin node/7295637 (10.0.8.13) lists CVE-2026-16918: SSRF, CVSS 9.3, vector AV:N/PR:N (no auth). Fix 10.0.8.13 read on IBM page; 12.1.1.3 fix and affected ranges come from the IBM CNA text via OpenCVE/NVD, not seen on a bulletin page (12.1.1.3 bulletin truncated), so nothing marked verified. No exploitation or PoC found.

## From the sources

IBM API Connect 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 could allow a remote attacker to access internal network resources due to server-side request forgery.
