# An authentication bypass vulnerability in the Check Point SmartConsole login process allows an unauthenticated…

Check Point SmartConsole has an improper authentication flaw that lets an unauthenticated remote attacker obtain an application login token. The attacker can use that token to log in with full administrative privileges.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Check Point SmartConsole affected ? fixed ?
- vendor:checkpoint multi-domain security management affected >= r77.30, < r81.20 fixed r81.20
- vendor:checkpoint multi-domain security management affected = r81.20 fixed ?
- vendor:checkpoint multi-domain security management affected = r82 fixed ?
- vendor:checkpoint multi-domain security management affected = r82.10 fixed ?
- vendor:checkpoint quantum security management affected >= r77.30, < r81.20 fixed r81.20
- vendor:checkpoint quantum security management affected = r81.20 fixed ?
- vendor:checkpoint quantum security management affected = r82 fixed ?
- vendor:checkpoint quantum security management affected = r82.10 fixed ?

## Fix

Apply the mitigations and vendor fix per Check Point's advisory; CISA KEV entry directs following BOD 26-04 guidance, or discontinuing use if mitigations are unavailable.

## From the sources

Check Point SmartConsole contains an improper authentication vulnerability which could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to obtain an application login token and use it to authenticate with full administrative privileges.

CISA required action: Apply mitigations in accordance with vendor instructions, ensuring compliance with CISA’s BOD 26-04 Prioritizing Security Updates Based on Risk (see URL in Notes) guidance and CISA’s “Forensics Triage Requirements” (see URL in Notes). Follow applicable BOD 26-04 guidance for cloud services or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable. Stakeholders are responsible for evaluating each asset's internet exposure and ensuring adherence to BOD 26-04 patching guidelines.
