# WPPConnect Server: unauthenticated access to other sessions' sticker media

WPPConnect Server, a WhatsApp automation server, serves decrypted sticker images through a static /files mount without checking authentication. An unauthenticated attacker can guess Unix timestamps in file names to download stickers from any session.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed WPPConnect Server version against the range in the advisory: through `2.10.76` is affected.
- Look for a publicly reachable `/files` static route on the server that serves `file<timestamp>.webp` paths.

## Fix

- Patch: see the linked GitHub fix; the fixed version is not stated in the sources provided.

## Timeline

- 2026-11-05T19:40:35+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-123197

## Documents

- [advisory] Third-party advisory: www.vulncheck.com https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/wppconnect-server-through-2.10.76-unauthenticated-sticker-media-disclosure-via-files
- [fix] Patch: github.com https://github.com/wppconnect-team/wppconnect-server/commit/bf1faac7a14892207348c3dc5f6e03ed180e09e8

## From the sources

WPPConnect Server through 2.10.76 contains a missing authentication vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read decrypted sticker media through the /files static mount. Attackers can enumerate Unix timestamps in GET /files/file<timestamp>.webp requests to retrieve stickers from any session, bypassing per-session token checks.
