# Tournamatch WordPress plugin lets subscribers delete arbitrary server files

Link for people: https://infrastack.ai/live/CVE-2026-121379 (this .md is for agents)

The Tournamatch WordPress plugin does not check the stored path of a profile or team image before deleting it when a new image is uploaded. A logged-in user with the Subscriber role can delete arbitrary files such as wp-config.php, which can lead to full site takeover.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Tournamatch plugin version in the WordPress admin Plugins page or the plugin header in `wp-content/plugins/`
- Confirm whether open subscriber registration is enabled on the site

## Fix

- Tournamatch plugin: move to `4.7.1` or later

## Timeline

- 2026-11-07T06:46:04+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-121379

## From the sources

The Tournamatch WordPress plugin before 4.7.1 does not validate or restrict the path of a previously stored profile or team image before deleting it when a new image is uploaded, allowing users with a role as low as Subscriber to delete arbitrary files on the server, such as wp-config.php, which can lead to a full site takeover.
