# Chrome: ANGLE buffer overflow lets a crafted web page run code

A buffer overflow in ANGLE, the graphics translation layer in Google Chrome, lets a remote attacker run arbitrary code outside the browser sandbox. The attacker only needs the victim to load a crafted HTML page.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Open Chrome and check the version under Settings > About Chrome, or run `chrome --version` on the machine.
- Compare the installed version against `157.0.8103.38`.

## Fix

- Google Chrome: move to `157.0.8103.38` or later.

## Timeline
