# Chrome for Android: use-after-free lets a crafted page run code

A use-after-free bug in the mobile version of Google Chrome can be triggered by a crafted HTML page. A remote attacker who tricks a user into visiting that page could potentially run arbitrary code outside the browser sandbox.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Open Chrome on the phone and check the version under Settings > About Chrome.
- Compare the version against `157.0.8103.38`; anything older is in the affected range.

## Fix

- Google Chrome (mobile): update to `157.0.8103.38` or later.

## Timeline

- 2026-11-03T21:19:12+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-121077

## From the sources
