# WordPress GreenShift plugin leaks logged-in users' session cookies via image URLs

Link for people: https://infrastack.ai/live/CVE-2026-120520 (this .md is for agents)

Up to and including version 13.2.2, the GreenShift WordPress plugin lets an unauthenticated attacker make a logged-in user's browser send their wordpress_logged_in session cookie to an attacker-controlled host. The attacker gets the session token and can act as that logged-in user on the site.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed GreenShift version in the WordPress admin plugin list or with `wp plugin get greenshift-animation-and-page-builder-blocks --field=version`
- Look for public GreenShift Element image blocks whose src uses a {{GET:...}} placeholder

## Fix

- GreenShift plugin: versions above `13.2.2` per the NVD description; the fixed version number is not stated in the sources

## Timeline

- 2026-11-07T03:45:34+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-120520

## From the sources

The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 13.2.2 via the 'img (or any key the publisher references in {{GET:key}})' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract authenticated users' HttpOnly WordPress session cookies, specifically wordpress_logged_in_* tokens, by injecting a nested {{COOKIE:}} placeholder via a GET parameter that causes the victim's browser to transmit the cookie value to an attacker-controlled host as an image src URL. Exploitation requires that a site publisher has configured a public GreenShift Element image block whose src attribute contains a {{GET:}} placeholder, and that a logged-in user can be induced to open the attacker's crafted link — neither condition is part of the plugin's default state.
