# Ruijie switches: cross-site scripting in cloud management URL setting

Ruijie RG-ES series managed switches running ESW_1.0(1)B1P48 have a cross-site scripting flaw in the Cloud Management set_cloud_serverUrl.cgi page, where the url argument is not sanitised. An attacker can run script in the browser of someone using the switch's web interface, and a public exploit has been released.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the switch firmware version under the web management interface or with `show version` and compare it with `ESW_1.0(1)B1P48`
- Check whether Cloud Management is enabled on the device

## Timeline

- 2026-11-01T19:21:44+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-120242

## From the sources

A security flaw has been discovered in Ruijie RG-ES205GC, RG-ES206GC-P, RG-ES208GC, RG-ES210GC-LP and RG-ES210GS-P ESW_1.0(1)B1P48. The affected element is an unknown function of the file set_cloud_serverUrl.cgi of the component Cloud Management. The manipulation of the argument url results in cross site scripting. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
