# ArcadeDB: revoked users keep access through already-open database connections

ArcadeDB before 26.10.2 does not drop access for users whose rights were revoked when they already hold an open Postgres, Bolt, MongoDB, or Redis wire-protocol connection. A user with such a connection can keep reading and writing data after their account is deleted, their grants are removed, or their password is rotated.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Look up the installed ArcadeDB version and compare it with `26.10.2`.
- Check whether the Postgres, Bolt, MongoDB, or Redis wire-protocol listeners are enabled in the server configuration.

## Fix

- ArcadeDB: move to `26.10.2` or later.

## Timeline

## From the sources

ArcadeDB before 26.10.2 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows revoked users to retain access through already-open Postgres, Bolt, MongoDB, or Redis wire-protocol connections. Attackers holding an existing connection can keep reading and writing data after deletion, grant removal, or password rotation, because executors keep a stale ServerSecurityUser.
