# WordPress CP Multi View Events Calendar plugin: stored cross-site scripting via Subject field

The CP Multi View Events Calendar WordPress plugin up to and including 1.4.43 does not sanitize the 'Subject' parameter of calendar events. A logged-in subscriber can store a script that runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected page.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed plugin version in the WordPress admin plugin list or the plugin's main file header; affected if it is `1.4.43` or older
- Look for the calendar shortcode on published pages, since the nonce is exposed on any such page

## Timeline

- 2026-10-30T18:55:29+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-119176

## From the sources

The CP Multi View Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'Subject' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.43 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The required nonce is localized to any published page carrying the calendar shortcode, making the adddetails endpoint reachable by any authenticated user with Subscriber-level access or above.
