The FunnelKit Automations plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce fails to escape the bwfan_cart_id parameter, allowing SQL injection in all versions up to and including 3.8.5.2. An unauthenticated attacker can extract sensitive information from the site database, including through a two-step attack that fires when a scheduled job reloads the stored value.

WordPress sites running the FunnelKit Automations plugin (wp-marketing-automations) version 3.8.5.2 or earlier with WooCommerce. An unauthenticated visitor can plant a crafted bwfan_cart_id during guest Store API checkout (needs only a public cart nonce), and the SQL runs when a scheduled job reloads it. Sites not using the plugin or already on 3.8.6+ can skip it.

The FunnelKit Automations – Email Marketing Automation and CRM for WordPress & WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the 'bwfan_cart_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.8.5.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Exploitation is a two-step persisted attack: an unauthenticated attacker submits a crafted bwfan_cart_id value during a guest Store API checkout (requiring only a publicly obtainable WooCommerce cart nonce), and the injection fires when a scheduled Action Scheduler job later reloads the stored meta upon order status transition out of pending, failed, or cancelled.
