# Events Made Easy WordPress plugin: stored XSS via width parameter

The Events Made Easy WordPress plugin up to and including 3.3.1 does not sanitize the 'width' parameter, so input is stored and rendered unescaped. An attacker with contributor-level access can plant scripts in pages that run in the browser of anyone who opens the injected page.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version of the Events Made Easy plugin in the WordPress admin under Plugins, or in `wp-content/plugins/events-made-easy/`.
- Review whether any contributor-level or higher accounts are untrusted.

## Timeline

## From the sources

The Events Made Easy plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'width' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
