# Drupal AI module: cross-site scripting lets attackers run scripts in browsers

The Drupal AI (Artificial Intelligence) module fails to neutralize input when generating web pages, which enables cross-site scripting. An attacker can get malicious script to run in the browser of a user who views the affected page.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed AI module version in the Drupal project, for example with `drush pm:list --filter=ai`
- Confirm whether the version is between `0.0.0` and `1.4.11`, or between `1.5.0` and `1.5.2`

## Fix

- Drupal AI module: move to a version after `1.5.2` (the sources state affected ranges only; the exact fixed version is unknown)

## Timeline

## From the sources

Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ("Cross-site Scripting") vulnerability in Drupal AI (Artificial Intelligence) allows Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This issue affects AI (Artificial Intelligence) versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.4.11, from 1.5.0 to 1.5.2.
