# Premium Packages WordPress plugin: any logged-in user can claim guest orders

The Premium Packages WordPress plugin before 7.3.1 does not check that someone claiming a guest order is the original buyer. Any logged-in user who knows an unclaimed order identifier can take ownership of it, read the buyer's billing details and download the purchased files.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version of the Premium Packages plugin in the WordPress admin plugin list; anything below `7.3.1` is affected.
- Look for guest orders that have been claimed by accounts that did not make the purchase.

## Fix

- Premium Packages: upgrade to `7.3.1` or later.

## Timeline

- 2026-11-04T06:25:19+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-118407

## From the sources

The Premium Packages WordPress plugin before 7.3.1 does not verify that a user claiming a guest order is the original buyer, allowing any authenticated user to take ownership of any unclaimed guest order, and thereby read the buyer's billing details and download their purchased files, by supplying only the order identifier.
