# Chrome: WebRTC input validation flaw lets a crafted page run code in sandbox

Google Chrome versions before 156.0.8078.73 have an improper input validation bug in WebRTC. A remote attacker who lures a user to a crafted HTML page can potentially execute arbitrary code inside the browser sandbox.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Open Chrome and check the version under Settings > About Chrome, or run `chrome --version` where the binary is available.
- Confirm whether the installed version is below `156.0.8078.73`.

## Fix

- Update Google Chrome to `156.0.8078.73` or later.
- Relaunch the browser after the update so the fix takes effect.
