# Chrome: memory corruption in Turbolev lets a crafted page escape the sandbox

A memory corruption bug in the Turbolev component of Google Chrome, before 156.0.8078.73, can be triggered by a crafted HTML page. An attacker who lures a user to that page may execute arbitrary code outside the browser sandbox.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Run `chrome://version` in Chrome and compare the version shown against `156.0.8078.73`.
- On managed fleets, query the installed Chrome version with your endpoint management tool.

## Fix

- Update Google Chrome to `156.0.8078.73` or later and restart the browser.
