# Firefox: use-after-free in Graphics lets web content escape the sandbox

A use-after-free bug in Firefox's Graphics component allows a crafted page to escape the browser sandbox. An attacker who lures a user to a malicious page could gain code execution outside the sandboxed content process.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Run `firefox --version` (or check Help > About Firefox) and compare against `159` for Firefox or `153.6` for Firefox ESR
- Check the version managed by your fleet tool or package manager on each desktop image

## Fix

- Update Firefox to `159` or later
- Update Firefox ESR to `153.6` or later

## Timeline

## From the sources
