# WooCommerce Extra Fees plugin: PHP object injection lets contributors run code

The Extra Fees plugin for WooCommerce, versions 4.4.0 and older, unserializes untrusted PHP object data. An attacker with contributor-level access can use this to inject objects that may lead to code execution on the store.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Look up the installed Extra Fees for WooCommerce plugin version in the WordPress admin under Plugins.
- Confirm whether the plugin is active on the site.

## Fix

- Extra Fees for WooCommerce: move to a version newer than `4.4.0` (the sources do not name the fixed release).

## Timeline
