# YesWiki: unescaped Bazar field lets anonymous users dump password hashes

YesWiki versions from 4.5.0 before 4.7.0 build an INSERT statement from the date_maj_fiche field of a Bazar entry-creation request without escaping it. An unauthenticated attacker can inject a sub-SELECT against the wiki_users table and read password hashes.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed YesWiki version in the wiki's version file or admin panel; versions `4.5.0` through `4.6.x` are in the affected range.
- unknown

## Fix

- Upgrade YesWiki to `4.7.0` or later.
- Until upgraded, unknown

## Timeline

## From the sources

YesWiki 4.5.0 before 4.7.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in PageManager::save(), where the date_maj_fiche field of a Bazar entry-creation request is concatenated unescaped into an INSERT statement. Unauthenticated attackers on default installs can inject a sub-SELECT against wiki_users to exfiltrate password hashes.
