# Drupal DocCheck Basic: authentication bypass through an alternate path

The Drupal DocCheck Basic module, version 7.x, has an authentication bypass that lets a request skip the normal login check through an alternate path or channel. An attacker who exploits it can gain access to functions that should require a logged-in account.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether the site runs the DocCheck Basic module on Drupal 7 (for example with `drush pm-list` or by looking in the sites/all/modules directory).
- Confirm the installed module version against the affected 7.x range in the advisory.
