# Drupal CSV Field: stored cross-site scripting in versions up to 2.0.10 and 3.0.7

The Drupal CSV Field module does not neutralize input when generating web pages, allowing stored cross-site scripting. An attacker who can store content in a field can run script in the browsers of users who view it.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version of the CSV Field module (`drush pm:list --filter=csv_field` or the Drupal extend page) and see whether it falls in the affected ranges.
- Confirm whether the module is enabled on any content type or field that accepts input from less-trusted users.

## Fix

- Move to a CSV Field release later than `2.0.10` on the 2.x line, or later than `3.0.7` on the 3.x line.

## Timeline
