# File Management System PHP: index.php page argument enables remote file inclusion

The oretnom23 file-management-system-php project includes files based on the page argument of index.php without proper validation. A remote attacker can make the application include an arbitrary file, which can lead to code execution or disclosure of local files.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- other:file-management-system-php affected <= 2e3c1ebe60f121e8df4fb3f544f0e9591d9a01e4 (rolling, no versions) fixed ?

## How to check

- In index.php look for 'include $page.".php"' fed by $_GET['page'] (grep -n 'include' index.php)
- Test: curl 'https://HOST/index.php?page=php://filter/convert.base64-encode/resource=db_connect' with no login; a base64 blob means exposed
- Deployed commit 2e3c1ebe60f121e8df4fb3f544f0e9591d9a01e4 or earlier is affected

## Fix

No fix upstream as of 2026-10-25 (issue #1 open, maintainer silent; rolling release, no versions). Workaround: allowlist $page in index.php and exit after the login redirect.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:29+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-114253
- 2026-10-24T13:15:54+00:00 epss https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2026-114253
- 2026-10-25T03:23:47+00:00 analyst — Issue #1 (reporter's repro, open, no maintainer reply) shows index.php includes $_GET['page'].'.php' and the login redirect lacks exit, so it is UNAUTHENTICATED; php://filter reads source such as db_connect.php; RCE needs an uploaded PHP file or allow_url_include. No fix upstream. NVD has no fix.
