# itsourcecode Sales-and-Inventory-System: SQL injection in customer edit page

The customer edit page (/pages/cust_edit.php) of itsourcecode Sales-and-Inventory-System does not safely handle the ID parameter, so it allows SQL injection. A remote attacker can send crafted requests to read or change database contents.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether the deployment includes the file `pages/cust_edit.php` in the web root.
- Compare the deployed code against the upstream repository at commit `0a3c45a78aaff3601b8cf9ce8ba82ff5c345caac`, since no version numbers are published.

## From the sources

A flaw has been found in itsourcecode Sales-and-Inventory-System up to 0a3c45a78aaff3601b8cf9ce8ba82ff5c345caac. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /pages/cust_edit.php. This manipulation of the argument ID causes sql injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. Continious delivery with rolling releases is used by this product. Therefore, no version details of affected nor updated releases are available. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
