# Bp Premier: hardcoded SQL Server admin password lets attackers run OS commands

Bp Premier before 1.14.1.1128 ships a hardcoded Microsoft SQL Server administrative password shared by every installation. An attacker with network access to the database can log in as sysadmin and run operating system commands as SYSTEM.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Bp Premier affected < 1.14.1.1128 fixed 1.14.1.1128, 1.14.1.1129

## How to check

Check the installed Bp Premier version against 1.14.1.1128; unknown whether the sources give a config file or setting to inspect.

## Fix

Upgrade Bp Premier to 1.14.1.1128 or 1.14.1.1129; unknown whether the sources name a credential rotation step beyond the upgrade.

- 2026-10-23T22:30:49+00:00 analyst — Read CI-ISAC CNA record (GCVE-123-2026-0001), vendor Oxford SP1 release notes, VulnCheck. Fix confirmed by vendor; no exploitation or PoC found. Note CI-ISAC rates AV:A 9.6 (depends on DB network exposure) vs NVD 9.8 network. CI-ISAC lists 1.14.1.1129 as fixed; VulnCheck/NVD say 1.14.1.1128; vendor says 1128 users need not move to 1129. Social search skipped (niche product).

## From the sources

Best Practice Software Bp Premier before 1.14.1.1128 uses a hardcoded Microsoft SQL Server administrative password that is shared across all installations and cannot be changed without breaking the application. Attackers with network access to the database instance can authenticate as sysadmin, bypass application authentication, and execute operating system commands as SYSTEM.
