# SmileCDR HAPI FHIR: conditional create leaks existing resource contents

SmileCDR's HAPI FHIR server does not enforce read authorization on conditional create requests. A user who holds only create permission can submit a conditional create whose match predicate hits an existing resource and receive that resource's contents back.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## From the sources

SmileCDR HAPI FHIR does not correctly check authorization for conditional create actions. A user with CREATE but not READ permissions could submit a conditional create whose predicate matches an existing resource and receive the target resource's contents.
