# arizu-id fast-tunnel: plugin installer allows unrestricted file upload remotely

The Plugin Installer in arizu-id fast-tunnel 1.0.0 extracts an uploaded plugin archive through ZipArchive::extractTo without restricting what it writes, via the plugin_file argument in backend/api_plugins.php. A remote attacker can use this unrestricted upload to place files on the server, and a public exploit has been disclosed.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version of fast-tunnel; `1.0.0` is affected.
- Look for `backend/api_plugins.php` in the deployed tree and confirm whether the Plugin Installer endpoint is reachable.

## Fix

- Upgrade fast-tunnel to `1.0.1`, which the sources say resolves the issue (patch commit `04573681420295f7b327c9da3b101aed2f3cf432`).
