# Craft CMS: site-scoped GraphQL tokens can edit other sites' content

Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.x does not check the site scope of GraphQL tokens on mutations. A token limited to one site can create entries in other sites and delete shared entries, categories, tags, and assets.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

Check the Craft version in composer.lock (craftcms/cms); versions from 5.0.0 up to but not including 5.11.0 are affected. Review GraphQL tokens for any that are scoped to a single site.

## Fix

Upgrade craftcms/cms to 5.11.0 or later. Rotate GraphQL tokens that were scoped to one site and check entries in other sites for unexpected changes.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:19+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-112776

## From the sources

Craft CMS from 5.0.0 before 5.11.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows site-scoped GraphQL tokens to mutate other sites' content because requireAllowedSite() is not enforced. Attackers holding a site-A token can create entries in site B via supplied siteId and delete entries, categories, tags, and assets shared across sites.
