# Safari and Apple OSes: use-after-free crashes browser on crafted web content

A use-after-free flaw in Safari and several Apple operating systems is fixed in Safari 27.2, iOS 26.7.2, iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2 and visionOS 27.2. Processing maliciously crafted web content may terminate the process unexpectedly, and the sources describe a crash rather than code execution.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the Safari version under Safari > About Safari or in the Settings app on iOS, iPadOS and visionOS.
- Check the OS build under Settings > General > Software Update on iOS, iPadOS and visionOS, or About This Mac on macOS.

## Fix

- Update Safari to `27.2` or later.
- Update iOS and iPadOS to `26.7.2` or `27.2`, macOS to `27.2` (Golden Gate), and visionOS to `27.2`.
