# GiveWP WordPress plugin exposes unpublished donation forms to anonymous visitors

The GiveWP donation plugin for WordPress renders unpublished donation forms (draft, pending, private, scheduled) on public front-end routes without checking status or capability. An unauthenticated visitor can read the content and settings of those forms.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed GiveWP version in the WordPress admin plugins list or with `wp plugin get give --field=version`
- Confirm whether any donation forms are in draft, pending, private or scheduled status that should stay hidden

## Fix

- Update the GiveWP plugin to `4.19.0.1` or later
- unknown for any interim workaround

## Timeline

- 2026-10-25T06:36:35+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-111976

## From the sources

The GiveWP WordPress plugin before 4.19.0.1 does not perform any status or capability check when rendering a donation form on a public front-end route, allowing unauthenticated visitors to view the content and settings of unpublished (draft, pending, private and scheduled) donation forms that WordPress core otherwise keeps non-public.
