# Rootblox WordPress theme: stored XSS through unsanitized input

CozyThemes Rootblox, a WordPress theme, does not neutralize some user input before rendering it in a page, enabling stored cross-site scripting. An attacker who can submit that input can run JavaScript in the browser of anyone who views the affected page, including administrators.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Rootblox theme version in the WordPress admin under Appearance > Themes or in the theme's style.css header
- Treat any installed version up to and including `1.0.7` as affected

## Fix

- Update Rootblox to a version later than `1.0.7` once the vendor publishes one (unknown from sources)
- Until then, restrict contributor-level accounts and review stored content for injected scripts

## Timeline
