# Faveo Helpdesk: authenticated agents can read tickets from other departments

Faveo Helpdesk through 2.0.3 has a broken access control flaw in its getTooltip handler, so any logged-in agent can read tickets belonging to other departments. An attacker who holds an agent account can enumerate sequential ticket IDs on GET /ticket/tooltip and read conversations, customer personal data and internal agent notes.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Faveo Helpdesk version and whether it is `2.0.3` or earlier
- Review web server logs for repeated requests to `/ticket/tooltip` with sequential `ticketid` values from a single agent account
