# Foxit website: JavaScript leaks third-party authorization credentials to visitors

A hardcoded API token in JavaScript on Foxit's website let anyone reading the page source submit fake user-behavior data and skew Foxit's statistics. Foxit says it is fixed server-side, with no customer action required.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

Nothing to check as a Foxit customer: the exposure was in Foxit's own website JavaScript and Foxit has addressed it. Foxit's bulletin does not name the third-party service or say whether the token was rotated.

## Fix

Fixed by Foxit on its website (bulletin dated 2026-10-29); no customer action required. No version to install.

## From the sources

A sensitive information exposure vulnerability exists on the Foxit official website because JavaScript code contains third-party authorization information. This may allow unauthorized parties to obtain or misuse the exposed credentials.
