# Essential Addons for Elementor: subsite admins can change other sites' user logins

The Essential Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin before 6.8.7 checks only a site-level capability before changing login-approval state for user accounts. On WordPress Multisite, a subsite administrator could therefore approve or block logins for accounts that belong to other sites on the network.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin is installed and note its version, for example with `wp plugin get essential-addons-for-elementor --field=version`
- Confirm whether the install is a Multisite network, for example with `wp core is-installed --network`

## Fix

- Update Essential Addons for Elementor to `6.8.7` or later
- Until the update is applied, limit subsite administrator accounts on Multisite networks that run the plugin

## Timeline

## From the sources

The Essential Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin before 6.8.7 does not verify that an administrator may manage the specific user accounts targeted by its login-approval feature, checking only a site-level capability, which on WordPress Multisite could allow a subsite administrator to change the approval and login state of accounts belonging to other sites on the network.
