# SiteOrigin Page Builder: contributors can read other users' draft and private posts

The Page Builder by SiteOrigin WordPress plugin before 2.38.0 does not restrict query arguments added to its Post Loop widget or limit the loop to posts the user may read. A contributor-role user or higher can read other users' draft, pending, scheduled and private posts and pages.

## How to check

- Check the installed plugin version in WordPress admin under Plugins, or with `wp plugin get siteorigin-panels --field=version` (plugin slug assumed; confirm on the site)
- Look for the Post Loop widget in pages built with Page Builder, since that is the vulnerable feature

## Fix

- Update The Page Builder by SiteOrigin to `2.38.0` or later
- Until updated, restrict contributor-role and above accounts or review who can edit pages with the Post Loop widget
