# Langflow: low-privileged user can run OS commands on server

IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.8 let a remote attacker with a low-privileged account make the Agentic Assistant generate or submit component code that bypasses its blocked patterns. The injected code runs arbitrary operating system commands on the server.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Langflow version with `langflow --version` or the image tag, and compare against the affected range `1.0.0` through `1.12.8`.
- Confirm whether the Agentic Assistant feature is in use on the instance.

## Fix

- Move to a Langflow OSS release newer than `1.12.8`; the sources do not name the exact fixed version.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-29T16:25:56+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-110193

## From the sources

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.8 could allow a remote attacker with a low-privileged authenticated account to cause the Agentic Assistant to generate or submit component code using these unblocked patterns, resulting in arbitrary operating system command execution on the server.
