# Moxa industrial computers: hard-coded key in sysman lets attackers read traffic

Some Moxa industrial computers ship a hard-coded cryptographic private key in the /usr/bin/sysman binary. An attacker on an adjacent network can use that key to compromise the confidentiality and integrity of communications with the device.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## From the sources

A hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability exists in the `/usr/bin/sysman` of some of Moxa's industrial computing products. An unauthenticated attacker with adjacent network access could exploit the exposed private key material to compromise the confidentiality and integrity of communications.
