# Langflow: authenticated users can run OS commands on the server

IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.4 fail to neutralize special characters passed to an operating system command. A logged-in remote attacker can use this to execute arbitrary code on the host.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Langflow version (for example `pip show langflow`) and see whether it falls within `1.0.0` through `1.12.4`.

## Fix

- Langflow OSS: move to a version later than `1.12.4` (the sources do not name the exact fixed release).

## Timeline

- 2026-10-29T16:25:55+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-107326

## From the sources

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.4 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command.
