# mall-server: cart integer overflow yields negative-quantity orders and inflated stock

qiujie mall-server 0.0.1-SNAPSHOT has an integer overflow in CartServiceImpl that lets an authenticated user wrap a cart quantity to a negative number. The order flow does not check the value, so the stock update raises inventory and orders with negative values are created.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check whether the project in use is qiujie mall-server, version `0.0.1-SNAPSHOT`, and whether `CartServiceImpl` is in the codebase
- Review how cart quantity is parsed and whether it is bounded before the order is created (unknown if the sources say more)

## Fix

- unknown; the sources do not name a fixed version or patch. Validate that cart quantities are positive and within a bound before order creation and before the stock update.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-26T17:31:21+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-106676

## From the sources

qiujie mall-server 0.0.1-SNAPSHOT contains an integer overflow in CartServiceImpl that allows an authenticated user to wrap a cart quantity to a negative value. The order creation flow does not validate the resulting quantity and passes it to the stock update query, increasing inventory and creating negative-value orders.
