# Visual Form Builder WordPress plugin: subscribers can read other users' form submissions

The Visual Form Builder WordPress plugin through version 3.1 shows recent form submissions in a dashboard widget without checking the viewer's permissions. Any logged-in user, including the lowest-privilege Subscriber role, can read other people's names, email addresses, form titles and timestamps.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version with `wp plugin get visual-form-builder --field=version` or in the WordPress admin under Plugins; versions through `3.1` are affected.
- Look for the plugin's dashboard widget and confirm whether subscriber accounts can reach the dashboard.

## Fix

- Update the Visual Form Builder plugin to a version later than `3.1` once a patched release is published; the sources do not name the fixed version.
- Until patched, deactivate the dashboard widget or restrict subscriber accounts from logging in if they are not needed.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:12+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-105974

## From the sources

The Visual Form Builder WordPress plugin through 3.1 does not perform an authorization check before displaying recent form submission data in a dashboard widget, allowing any authenticated user (Subscriber and above) to read other users' submitted contact information, including names, email addresses, form titles and timestamps.
