# ivanti connect secure: Authentication bypass by spoofing in ICS before version 25.1.3.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute…

Ivanti Connect Secure has an authentication bypass by spoofing flaw that lets a remote unauthenticated attacker run arbitrary commands on the appliance. CISA lists it as actively exploited in the wild.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:ivanti connect secure affected >= 25.1.0.0, < 25.1.1.2 fixed 25.1.1.2
- vendor:ivanti connect secure affected >= 25.1.2.0, < 25.1.3.0 fixed 25.1.3.0
- vendor:ivanti connect secure affected = 22.8 fixed ?
- vendor:Ivanti Connect Secure affected ? fixed ?

## How to check

Check the Connect Secure version in the admin console against the vendor advisory; the sources do not give affected version ranges.
Review logs for unexpected administrative or command execution activity, per CISA's forensics triage requirements (linked in the KEV notes).

## Fix

Apply the vendor mitigation or patch from Ivanti per CISA BOD 26-04; the sources do not name the fixed version.
If no mitigation is available, discontinue use of the product per CISA guidance.

## From the sources

Ivanti Connect Secure contains an authentication bypass by spoofing vulnerability that allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands.

CISA required action: Apply mitigations in accordance with vendor instructions, ensuring compliance with CISA’s BOD 26-04 Prioritizing Security Updates Based on Risk (see URL in Notes) guidance and CISA’s “Forensics Triage Requirements” (see URL in Notes). Follow applicable BOD 26-04 guidance for cloud services or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable. Stakeholders are responsible for evaluating each asset's internet exposure and ensuring adherence to BOD 26-04 patching guidelines.
