# Langflow: untrusted data deserialization lets an authenticated user run code

IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.3 deserialize untrusted data without checks. A remote attacker with a valid account can use this to execute arbitrary code on the server.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed version with `pip show langflow` or `langflow --version`; versions 1.0.0 through 1.12.3 are affected.
- Confirm whether the instance is reachable from the internet or only from a trusted network.

## Fix

- Move to a Langflow OSS release newer than `1.12.3`; the sources do not name the exact fixed version.

## Timeline

- 2026-10-29T16:25:54+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-104324

## From the sources

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to deserialization of untrusted data.
