# Oracle E-Business Suite Shipping Execution: low-privilege network flaw exposes data

Oracle E-Business Suite's Shipping Execution module, in the Internal Operations component, has a flaw reachable over HTTP. An attacker with a low-privileged account can read critical data, change or delete some records, and partly disrupt the service.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the Oracle E-Business Suite release in use, using the Oracle EBS version check described in Oracle's advisory (unknown from sources)
- Check whether Shipping Execution is in use and its version falls in `12.2.3` to `12.2.15` (unknown from sources for patch level)

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle E-Business Suite Shipping Execution (specific patch numbers unknown from sources)
- Move to a supported release beyond `12.2.15` once Oracle publishes it (unknown from sources)

## Timeline

- 2026-10-23T21:57:23+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-101833

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle Shipping Execution product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Shipping Execution. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Shipping Execution accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Shipping Execution accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Shipping Execution. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.6 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L).
