# Oracle E-Business Suite: Applications Manager Diagnostics flaw leaks data, partial denial of service

Oracle Applications Manager, part of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, has a flaw in its Diagnostics component. A highly privileged attacker on the network can read a subset of the data the tool exposes and cause a partial denial of service.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the E-Business Suite release in use is within `12.2.3` to `12.2.15`
- Check whether Oracle Applications Manager and its Diagnostics component are reachable over HTTP from the network

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle E-Business Suite (the sources do not name the patch number)
- Restrict network access to Oracle Applications Manager until patched

## Timeline

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle Applications Manager product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Diagnostics). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Applications Manager. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Applications Manager accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Applications Manager. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 3.3 (Confidentiality and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L).
