# Oracle E-Business Suite: Role Summary flaw lets privileged users change critical data

A flaw in the Role Summary component of Oracle Common Applications, part of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, can be reached over HTTP. A high-privileged attacker can read, create, modify or delete data that other EBS products can also reach, per the CVSS scope change.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the EBS release with the `12.2.x` level in the admin console or patch history; affected range is `12.2.3` to `12.2.15`
- Check whether Oracle's April 2026 CPU patch list includes this CVE (unknown from the sources)

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for CVE-2026-101705 to EBS 12.2 (exact patch number unknown from the sources)
- Move to a supported EBS 12.2 release newer than `12.2.15` (unknown from the sources)

## Timeline
