# Oracle E-Business Suite Marketing Audience: flaw lets low-privilege users read and change data

Oracle Marketing, part of Oracle E-Business Suite, has a flaw in its Audience component affecting versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15. An attacker with a low-privilege account over HTTP can read a subset of Marketing data and modify or delete some of it, provided a person other than the attacker takes an action.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the Oracle E-Business Suite release in use, and whether the Marketing module is installed, with the E-Business Suite version shown in the Oracle EBS admin pages
- Check whether the installed Marketing release falls within 12.2.3 to 12.2.15 against the Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory
- unknown for the exact check command or file, the sources do not say

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that covers the Oracle Marketing Audience component for E-Business Suite 12.2.x
- unknown for the exact patch number and target version, the sources do not say

Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Marketing accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Marketing accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 5.4 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).
