# Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database: local low-privilege user can read and change some data

Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database has a flaw in its TimesTen IMDB component that lets a low-privileged user already logged on to the host read a subset of accessible data and modify some of it. The attack is hard to carry out and the CVSS score is 3.6 (low).

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed TimesTen version against the affected range 26.1 through 26.1.1.3.0, for example with `ttVersion` run from the TimesTen installation bin directory (unknown if the sources do not say this command)
- Identify who has OS logon on hosts running TimesTen IMDB

## Fix

- Move TimesTen In-Memory Database past `26.1.1.3.0` to a patched release listed in Oracle's security advisory (unknown patched version in the sources)
- Restrict OS logon on TimesTen hosts to required users until patched

## Timeline
