# Helidon: LRA component flaw allows limited unauthorized data reads over HTTP

Helidon versions 4.0.0 through 4.5.5 contain a flaw in the LRA (Long Running Actions) component. An unauthenticated attacker on the network who can send HTTP requests can read a subset of data accessible to Helidon, though exploitation is difficult.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the Helidon version in the project's pom.xml or build file, looking for versions from `4.0.0` to `4.5.5`
- Confirm whether the LRA module (`helidon-lra` or equivalent) is on the classpath and exposed over HTTP

## Fix

- Upgrade Helidon to a release newer than `4.5.5`, per the vendor advisory
- unknown (the sources do not name the exact fixed version)

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: LRA). Supported versions that are affected are 4.0.0-4.5.5. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 3.7 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N).
