# Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll: low-privilege network attacker can take over

Oracle Payroll inside E-Business Suite versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 has a flaw in its Internal Operations component that can be reached over HTTP. A low-privileged attacker with network access can take over the Payroll application, with high confidentiality, integrity and availability impact.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll affected >= 12.2.3, <= 12.2.15 fixed October 2026 CPU patch (number in MOS)

## How to check

Run the EBS CPU Checker (ECPUC, Patch 35583866): run ECPUC.sql and read ECPUC.lst for your current CPU/CSPU level and missing patches. Any 12.2.3-12.2.15 install without the Oct 2026 CPU is exposed.

## Fix

Apply the Oracle E-Business Suite October 2026 CPU (or later CSPU) for Release 12.2; find the current patch via MOS Article KA923. Exact patch number unknown (needs MOS login).

## Timeline
