# Oracle Database Server: low-privilege HTTP attacker can read RDBMS data

A flaw in the RDBMS component of Oracle Database Server, affecting versions 23.4.0 through 23.26.3, lets a low-privileged user reach it over HTTP. A successful attack gives unauthorized read access to critical data held in the database.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Oracle Database version against the affected range `23.4.0` to `23.26.3`
- Confirm whether the database listener or HTTP endpoint is reachable from untrusted networks
- unknown for the exact version-check command, as the sources do not say

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that addresses CVE-2026-101512 for your database version; the sources do not name the patched version
- unknown for any configuration workaround, as the sources do not say

## Timeline

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the RDBMS component of Oracle Database Server. Supported versions that are affected are 23.4.0-23.26.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker having None privilege with network access via HTTP to compromise RDBMS. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all RDBMS accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.5 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N).
