# Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools: Fluid Core flaw allows limited data read and write

A flaw in the Fluid Core component of Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools, versions 8.61 to 8.63, lets a low-privileged user reach data over HTTP after another person interacts with a crafted request. An attacker can read a subset of accessible data and update, insert or delete some records.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed PeopleTools version in the PeopleSoft environment, for example via the PeopleTools release information page, and see whether it falls within `8.61` to `8.63`.
- Review the Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory for the current patch level (unknown if the sources give a specific patch identifier).

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools that covers the Fluid Core component (the fixed version is unknown from these sources).

## Timeline
